In some instances, banking providers offer several business bank accounts. In all instances above, we have highlighted the ‘starter’ versions. The bank will notify you if other business bank accounts are available to you.

Not based in the UK?

Don’t worry if you’re not located in the UK, we can still help. Our Non-Residents Package includes a WorldFirst UK Business Account Referral.

Selecting your business bank account

As mentioned, you can either select your business bank account at the same time as registering your company, or you can wait until after your company has been registered.

If you wish to choose your business bank account when registering your company, you will find this option in the ‘Business Essentials: Products & Services’ step of the formation process. Then, once your company has been formed, you will receive an email from your chosen bank with further advice on opening your account.

If you would prefer to wait until you open your business bank account (or you have already registered your company with 1st Formations and now wish to select a bank account), you simply need to:

  1. Log in to your Online Company Manager
  2. Select ‘My Companies’
  3. Select ‘View’
  4. Select the ‘Getting Started’
  5. The available business bank account options will be presented to you, select ‘Add To Cart’ next to the account you would like to opt in to
  6. Select ‘View Cart’
  7. Provide the necessary contact information, agree to the terms and conditions, and select ‘Submit’

Your chosen business bank account provider will then be in touch with you.

Please note: The business accounts available to you may depend on your company’s SIC code(s) and general availability. There is no guarantee that you will be presented with all the banks we have covered in this article.
